:~ an update to why move?
I was on the train platform today.
I was on the hot, sticky, and humid train platform today with midtown business men and women waiting to get on the train we all hoped would be a bit air conditioned before we transferred to the next hot, stick, and humid station to get on another train to get home and I was thinking about my post about moving ( http://www.themonkeyplayground.com/theword.php?word=280 ).
I was thinking the post can be taken in a couple of ways. It can be taken as an open letter to myself on my wishes for the future. It can also be taken as a knock on those who are here. While I haven't heard from anyone that they have taken it that way, I want to say that it is not a knock or even a pushback.
There are too many people here that I hold dear. There are friends and family, and friends who are family that I look forward to seeing on every visit we take back east. There is a room, not just room, but a real room with a door and bathroom, for all of them in our new place and that is something we have never had before.
Me writing that the day after I saw so many people who were wishing us well and giving us love and happiness makes me hope that my re-read is not how anyone may have read it the first time.
Who am I kidding? Who really read it anyway?
In honor of my dad who I thought of after seeing a pic of Tony and his dad today, I leave this post with a little Warren Zevon and the song that came on my iPod when that train rolled into the station this evening.
